I gave myself a tattoo by hand in the seventh grade. I used black acrylic paint and a sewing needle. For the first half I managed to fit the needle into a mechanical pencil, but the second half I just used a plain sewing needle. It was not painful at all, but it did take a good four hours to create an incredibly small Chinese symbol for power. It’s only half an inch wide and an inch tall. I thought it would fade in two years, but I still have it and it’s been three years. Theres also a scar.

@kakarot138 All tattoo artists! (Proper ones) undertake an apprentice with a qualified tattooist!. Anything else, is just cowboy!

@aitattoo2010 I have had a hand poke tattoo done in cambodia with bamboo..and it looks great ancient but not crude..and when done right it looks great

this is how i’ve done nearly all my legs, feet, groin, stomach, chest.
and some tapping too, only on myself tho, i love it !

man ive got some excellent poke job tattoos in jail… you cant expect something super detailed but some guys are very talented at lettering, ect. in there
