While I whole heartedly agree that getting a partner’s name tattooed on you is a bad idea 9 times out of 10, I don’t personally find it tacky. It’s a matter of taste. It definitely shows more commitment than a wedding ring, but granted, nothing- not even a tattoo- is going to keep people together if the feelings aren’t there. Sadly, nothing is for certain, and removal costs money, time & pain. Most people don’t want an ex’s name on them for life.

It usually takes multiple sessions with a laser to fully remove a tattoo. One session, will simply lighten it, but collectively, these remove the tattoo, hopefully completely.
