tattoo removal
Steve W. asked:

In this article we’ll examine how different tattoo removal options are used to help people at all ages to remove tattoos from their bodies they no longer appreciate. One of the many reasons for people to remove tattoos is to get rid of something they don’t want to remember, for example a person’s name when the love is over.

What is a tattoo? Tattoo is made on the body by burying color pigments inside the skin’s surface. Since it is embedded inside the dermal layers, tattoo can’t be easily destroyed even though with severe burn. Tattoos are built to last forever. Removing them is very difficult and expansive. So, how to remove a tattoo and what are the available tattoo removal options?

Here are a few common methods on how to remove a tattoo:

1. Remove tattoo with micro dermabrasion: Micro skin dermabrasion method is a sand blasting process that sprays fine abrasive oxide across tattoo areas in order to remove the outer and middle skin layers that hold the tattoo pigments. The body will replace the injured skin surface with new and healthy cells. Some dermabrasion instruments are in the form of polishing wheels to “sand off” the tattoo skin layers. The pain during this procedure is within bearable limits.

2. Remove tattoo through freezing (cryosurgery) method: A localized frostbite is created at tattoo areas through freezing of the skin surface with liquid nitrogen spray. The frostbite with tattoo pigmentation will peel off in the next 3 to 4 weeks after the treatment. Scars may develop with this method.

3. Remove tattoo with chemical peels: Chemical solution and sometimes acid is used to etch away the outer skin layers gradually until the dermal layer with tattoo pigmentation is reached.

4. Remove tattoo with excision: Excision surgery is only suitable for small tattoos. For large tattoos, several treatments are usually required together with a skin graft to cover up the skin. Excision involves a local anesthetic to numb the tattoo areas, and dermal layers with tattoo pigments are cut out of the skin. This method leaves a scar behind.

5. Laser tattoo removal: Laser surgery is the most effective tattoo removal options and has least damage to the skin. The laser beam can be selectively set up to remove tattoo pigmentation without harming the surrounding skin. The healing duration is much shorter with laser surgery except the treatment cost is very high.

Jono asked:

Don’t rush into your decision about what tattoo will be best for you and then regret it later, because although they can be removed it is very painful and can leave scarring. Remember that the design you choose will become part of who you are. Just rushing into a tattoo parlour will get you something you may regret. A tattoo is supposed to be personal; it’s probably going to be on your body for the rest of your life. It’s best to take some time and really think about what you want. The choice of tattoo is an important decision that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

When selecting a tattoo design, it’s important to keep some simple things in mind. First of all, where do you want the tattoo? Some designs may be best in a place that is below clothing, while others are okay for everyone to see. Take into consideration what message you wish to portray to the world.. It’s really all about the lifestyle of the person. For example, getting a tattoo on your face if you work in a strict environment in all probability won’t be a good idea. Having to use your last pay check to pay for tattoo removal would be deplorable indeed.

Once you’ve discovered the ideal design for your new tattoo, get the best tattoo artist you can afford to do the work. Never have a tattoo done by anyone that’s not qualified. People that have the misfortune of getting a awful tattoo have very little choices. First, like alot of people do, they can live with it and write it off as a learning experience. Secondly, tattoos can also be removed with lasers. Having a tattoo removed by laser is a painful and expensive experience. Lastly, the tattoo can be covered with a different tattoo.

Pick the images you add to your body cautiously and you’ll be proud of it always. And, like most tattoo fans, you’ll keep going back for more. Just remember, getting inked is a personal expression so make sure that you go for designs that are significant or hold some relevance to your life. That way, when you look at it, you know that it’s something that you will always be proud of and never regret.

Picking Your Dream Tattoo Design

Tattoo Design Review asked:

Tattoos are very common these days, with nearly 1 in 4 people having at least one.  Tattoos represent an art form, and allow people to broadcast who they are.  Even though they are popular, most people will end up regretting them.  In most cases, those who regret tattoos didn’t think about their design or take the time to choose the best tattoo for them.  Even though it is possible to get a tattoo removed, the process is expensive and quite painful.  To prevent this from happening, you should always take some time and find the perfect tattoo – your dream design.

Instead of trying to save some money, you should never choose a studio or artist based on how cheap they are.  Cheaper artists and studios normally lack in work quality, which is why they are able to charge cheaper prices. Instead, you should look for the best studio and artist that you can find close to your area.  Even though it may be expensive – the quality and design will be well worth it.

For some, their dream design is a person.  This can be a loved one or someone who has passed on.  You can always use a design or symbol that means something to you and reminds you of them or you can always use their face.  Good tattoo artists can make magical tattoos with meaning, whether it is someone’s face or a symbol that brings out meaning.

Sometimes, it can be hard picking out your dream design.  If you have an idea in mind but are still not sure what you want, you can always research.  You can get tattoo books, theme books, magazines, or just research online.  By looking at designs you may find something similar to what you are interested in.  Once you have found it, all you need to do is sit down with your tattoo artists and come up with your dream tattoo design.

If you have a basic idea for something small in mind, you can always have it tattooed then come back later and have more added on.  The best thing about tattoos is the fact that they can always be added to later.  This can be a great thing if you want to try a smaller tattoo first, and then decide whether or not you want to get it bigger.  If you start with a fraction of your dream design, you can always finish it up later on.

Whenever you get your dream tattoo you should always take time selecting the design.  Tattoos will stay with you forever, which is why you should pick them carefully.  If you put the necessary time and thought into it now, you won’t regret it later.  Your dream design should be very important, and hold meaning.  This way, every time you look at it – you’ll be reminded of that special moment in time and you’ll never forget about it.

People usually jump right in with no thought at all when they get their first tattoo, which they then regret and decide to have it removed! Which i can tell you is not a great experience. To get a tattoo removed you have to keep going back for multiple painful appointments until the tattoo is completely removed, talk about costly!

Read the seven tips on choosing your first tattoo design before jumping in at the deep end and then you can rest assured that you have chosen a tattoo design that is right for you and one that you can live with for the rest of your life.

1) Choosing a Meaning

Most tattoo designs will have a meaning behind them, what you need to do is search the internet to find out it’s meaning and if it pertains to you, it is much better to have a tattoo that means something to you personally then just to have one with no meaning at all!

2) Look Around You!

Although you do not want to copy someone else’s tattoo, you can get some really good ideas by looking at other peoples tattoos and what they look like on them and what they mean, that way you will have more of an idea of what you want your tattoo design to look like.

3) Get a small tattoo to start with.

For your first tattoo i would recommend you start of with a small tattoo, not only because a large one will take longer and if it’s your first time you will not be accustomed to the slight pain you experience, but also if you really had to have it removed it will be quicker and less painful if it was just a small one rather than a large one.

4) Price of tattoos

Obviously the larger the tattoo the more it will cost you, that also applies to how much detail is in the tattoo as well, something that requires intricate detail will cost a lot more than just a simple shape or pattern, something to keep in mind for your first tattoo, especially if you are on a budget!

5) Where to have your tattoo

Choosing where on your body to have your tattoo is an important decision!

If you have a job that deals with people it might not be a great idea to have a tattoo anywhere on your neck, hands, forarms or even your face! Best places to have a tattoo is somewhere you can either cover it up when needed.

6) Painful areas

If this is your first tattoo it might be a good idea to have your tattoo on the least painful places on your body like your shoulder for example or your upper arm, probably not best to have one on your neck or something for your first time!

7) Choose a unique tattoo design.

Choosing your tattoo design is a personal thing and you want to make sure to choose one that not many other people have so that your is very unique and personal to you.

Choosing a tattoo design is not just a case of going on the internet and choosing the first thing you see and like, you have to ask yourself is that design unique, does it say something about me? Is it personal to me?

If you take your time and choose the right tattoo design that’s is right for you then you will be happy with your tattoo for the rest of your life.
